Workshop on “Entrepreneurship and Innovation as a Career Opportunity”

A workshop on “Entrepreneurship and Innovation as a Career Opportunity” was organized for all engineering students on 5th February 2026. The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Sangita R Nandurkar and was led by expert Mr. B. R. Venkatesh &Mrs. Tejaswini

The main objective of the program was to motivate students and help them understand the process of entrepreneurship and the various career opportunities available in this field. The speaker elaborated on the key goals, essential elements, and advantages of entrepreneurship, encouraging students to consider innovation and startups as viable career options. The expert also shared valuable insights into the challenges and difficulties faced by successful innovators and entrepreneurs, providing students with practical knowledge and real-world perspectives. The session proved to be highly interactive and informative, enabling participants to gain a deeper understanding of the entrepreneurial journey.

A total of 155 students and 6 faculty members actively participated in the workshop, making the event highly successful.

National Start up Day

The National Startup Day was organized for Electrical Engineering students on 03rd February 2026 with the objective of igniting the spirit of entrepreneurship among students. The event was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Sangita R. Nandurkar and was led by Mr. Sahil Shaikh (YUVAPREP, Mumbai).

The program aimed to create awareness among students and faculty about the startup ecosystem in India, including government initiatives, funding opportunities, and incubation support systems. The session also focused on promoting innovation and an entrepreneurial culture within the institution by encouraging idea generation, problem-solving abilities, and a risk-taking mindset.

The speaker highlighted the significant role of the Startup India Initiative in shaping and strengthening India’s startup ecosystem. Students were provided with complete insights into the process of starting a startup, including idea validation, planning, execution, and growth strategies. The session offered valuable real-world perspectives through interaction with entrepreneurs and startup mentors. The event proved to be highly informative and motivating, equipping students with practical knowledge and inspiration to explore entrepreneurship as a viable career path.

seminar on “Upcoming Trends in Electrical Engineering in Private / Government Sector”

The Department of Electrical Engineering successfully organized a seminar on “Upcoming Trends in Electrical Engineering in Private / Government Sector” on 22nd January 2024. The seminar was conducted as part of the Training and Placement activities for undergraduate Electrical Engineering students, under the guidance of Prof. Surekha Mahadik.

The session was delivered by Mr. Shubham Kamble, Assistant Engineer at MahaTransco, who is also a proud alumnus of the department. He shared valuable insights into the latest developments and emerging trends in the field of electrical engineering, with a special focus on opportunities available in both the private and government sectors.

Mr. Kamble discussed real-world industrial practices, advancements in power systems, GIS substations, operation and maintenance challenges, and the essential skills required to succeed in the evolving electrical engineering landscape. He also guided students on career planning, preparation for competitive examinations, and emphasized the importance of technical knowledge, discipline, and continuous learning. The seminar was highly interactive and informative. Students gained a clearer understanding of career opportunities, industry expectations, and future challenges in the electrical engineering profession. The session proved to be enriching, motivating, and highly beneficial for all the participants.

HANDS ON WORKSHOP ON IOT

EESA organized a Hands-on Workshop on IoT for Electrical Engineering students on 30th September 2025. The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Prof. A. A. Ray and led by industry expert Dr. Bhavana Garg. The session provided students with practical exposure to Internet of Things (IoT) concepts, applications, and tools relevant to electrical engineering. Participants learned to design and implement IoT-based solutions, enhancing their technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and readiness for emerging technologies in the field.

SOCIAL ACTIVITY: CLEANLINESS DRIVE

EESA conducted a Cleanliness Drive at Sector-7, C.B.D. Belapur, Belpada Talav, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra – 400614 on 29th September 2025. The drive saw enthusiastic participation from the HOD, faculty members, and students, who came together to actively contribute to the upkeep and cleanliness of the local area. Participants engaged in cleaning the surroundings, collecting waste, and promoting environmental awareness among the community. The initiative not only helped in creating a cleaner and healthier environment but also instilled a sense of social responsibility and teamwork among the students. Such activities reflect EESA’s commitment to community service and sustainable practices, encouraging everyone to take small but meaningful steps towards preserving the environment.

HANDS ON WORKSHOP ON AUTOCAD

EESA organized a Hands-on Workshop on AutoCAD on 24th September 2025 for B.E. Electrical Engineering students. The session was conducted by industry expert Mr. Unmesh K. Sindad from Milestone Institute of Technology. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ technical skills by providing practical exposure to AutoCAD tools, drafting methods, and essential design techniques used in engineering projects. Throughout the session, students learned about creating professional drawings, understanding layout standards, and applying AutoCAD features to real-world electrical designs. The workshop proved highly beneficial, helping students strengthen their design proficiency and industry readiness.

SESSION ON THE TOPIC "THE FUTURE IS ELECTRIC- AN EV PRIMER"

EESA organized an informative session on the topic “The Future is Electric – An EV Primer” for B.E. and T.E. Electrical Engineering students. The session was conducted by Mr. Anil Chaudhari, a highly experienced professional with over 25 years of expertise in Electric Vehicles, Renewable Energy, and Automation. During the session, students gained valuable insights into the rapid growth of the EV industry, emerging technologies, sustainable mobility solutions, and the role of engineers in shaping the future of electric transportation. Mr. Chaudhari also shared real-world experiences, industry trends, and career opportunities in the EV sector, making the session highly engaging and beneficial for students.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT (SAINI ELECTRICALS & ENGINEERING WORKS)

EESA organized an Industrial Visit for T.E. Electrical Engineering students to Saini Electricals & Engineering Works on 17th September 2025. The visit was coordinated by Prof. Surekha S. Mahadik and Prof. Pradnya S. Narnaware. During the visit, students gained practical insights into electrical manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and quality control measures. The experience allowed students to connect theoretical knowledge with industrial practices, enhancing their understanding of engineering operations and professional work environments

POSTER COMPETITION

EESA organized a Poster Competition on 16th September 2025 on the theme “Developing Solutions for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer.” The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Pradnya Narnaware and was judged by Prof. P. N. Ghate (EXTC Dept.) and Prof. Amol Patil (EXTC Dept.). A total of 60 students participated, showcasing impressive creativity and environmental awareness through their posters. Based on innovation, presentation, and relevance to the theme, two winners were selected. At the end of the event, all participants were awarded participation certificates, and the winners received their prizes from Dr. Savata Deore (HOD, Electrical).

TEACHER'S DAY & ENGINEER'S DAY CELEBRATION

EESA celebrated Teacher’s Day and Engineer’s Day on 16th September 2025 with great enthusiasm, bringing together students and faculty for a meaningful event. The celebration honored the dedication of teachers while also highlighting the creativity and contributions of engineers. Cultural performances and fun activities added energy to the program, and students expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the faculty. The importance of engineering in modern development was also emphasized. As a gesture of appreciation, tokens of respect were presented to all departmental staff. The event concluded on a positive and memorable note.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT (GTPS Uran)

EESA organized an Industrial Visit for S.E. Electrical Engineering students to GTPS Uran on 12th September 2025. The visit was coordinated by Prof. S. B. Murari and Prof. Atul Kale. During the visit, students gained practical exposure to the operations of a gas turbine power station, including generation processes, control systems, and safety protocols. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world industrial applications, enhancing students’ technical understanding and professional awareness.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT (HVDC PADGHA SUBSTATION

EESA organized an Industrial Visit for B.E. Electrical Engineering students to the HVDC Padgha Substation on 9th September 2025. The visit was coordinated by Dr. Dipti Patil and Prof. S. R. Nandurkar. During the visit, students gained practical exposure to high-voltage direct current systems, substation operations, and power transmission technologies. The visit provided an excellent opportunity for students to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world industrial practices, enhancing their understanding of modern electrical engineering applications.

Workshop on "Internet Of Things”

Electrical Engineering Students Association (EESA)’ of A. C. Patil College of Engineering organized a workshop on Internet Of Things on 21st March 2025

The workshop provided a comprehensive understanding of IoT, mobile app development, and cloud integration, equipping students with valuable technical skills. Through hands-on sessions with MIT App Inventor, Kodular, and Firebase, participants gained practical experience in building smart applications and real-time IoT solutions.

This session has laid a strong foundation for future advancements, inspiring students to continue learning and applying their skills in cutting-edge technologies.

In Vector 2024 -25 the Electrical Engineering Students Association (EESA) organized 2 Events in Vectors on 03/03/2025 & 04/03/2025

DEFUSE PROTOCOL

  • Defuse Protocol is an electrifying puzzle event in Vectors, designed to test players’ memory, logic, problem-solving skills, and teamwork. 
  • The event consists of five mini puzzles followed by a Mega Puzzle (Final Challenge), where participants must successfully defuse a bomb within a given time limit.

LAZER ROOM

  • Players find themselves trapped in a high-security facility filled with laser beams blocking their path. They must navigate through a maze of lasers to reach the exit while avoiding detection by security systems.
  • In the game Lazer Room, players must complete the challenge without touching a laser beam.
  • The objective of Lazer Roomis to navigate through a darkened room filled with laser beams and reach the end without triggering any alarms.

Workshop on Electrical CAD

The Electrical Engineering Students Association (EESA) organized a workshop on the topic “Electrical CAD” for Second Year Electrical Engineering Students on 4th February 2025. This session was intended to train for creating electrical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and many other forms of electrical design.

Industrial Visit to Gas Turbine Power Station

Electrical Engineering Department arranged one day Industrial Visit for Second year Electrical Engineering students. As a part of University Curriculum, the second year Students visited GTPS, Uran on 29th Jan 2025.

This Visit made our Students to gain more knowledge about Gas turbine Power station and provide industrial exposure which help them to enhance the skills.

A Report on  “BIS Foundation Event”

Our college had the privilege of being invited to participate in the carnival organized by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) as part of the BIS Foundation Event on 8th jan 2025 at MTNL building, Powai The celebration provided a platform for institutions, industries, and young innovators to come together and showcase their creativity, talent, and technical skills.

Students from various branches, including Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication (EXTC), and Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AIDS), represented the college with remarkable enthusiasm.

Industrial Visit to 500 KV HVDC Padghe Plant

Electrical Engineering Department arranged one day Industrial Visit for Final year Electrical Engineering students. As a part of University Curriculum, the Final year Students visited on 500 KV HVDC Padghe Plant on 24th September 2024. Students got the basic idea about Transmission Line Power Flow, Convert DC to AC, Thyristor Bank, DC and AC Switchyard Operation, Electrode Station, PLCC and SCADA System Operation, etc. Students observed the whole working process of Conversion of DC to AC. Electrical Engineering Department arranged one day Industrial Visit for Third year Electrical Engineering students. As a part of University Curriculum, the third year Students visited Saini Electrical and Engineering Works, M.I.D.C., Ambernath on 3rd and 4th September 2024. Electrical Engineering Students Association (EESA) of A. C. Patil College of Engineering organized workshop on Electric Vehicle Workshop on 07 th March 2024 The workshop featured hands-on sessions where participants had the opportunity to explore the principles of EV design, battery technology, and charging infrastructure. Through interactive demonstrations, attendees gained a deeper understanding of how EVs operate and their potential benefits in reducing carbon emissions and dependence on fossil fuels. Practical exercises and case studies were integrated into the workshop curriculum, allowing participants to apply their newfound knowledge to real-world scenarios and challenges in the EV industry. From designing efficient charging networks to optimizing vehicle performance, attendees were encouraged to think critically and creatively about the future of transportation. Participants left feeling inspired and empowered to contribute to the ongoing transition towards a more sustainable and electric future.

Industrial Visit to 33kV/11kV NRI Substation

The Electrical Engineering Department had arranged an industrial visit to 33kV/11kV NRI Substation, Sector- 50, Seawoods on 4th March 2024. It is an MSEDCL division office in Seawoods , Navi Mumbai. Our Third year students gained practical knowledge about control and automation panels used in the control room and isolators, circuit breakers, CT, PT and stepdown transformers installed in outdoor switchyard.

As a part of University Curriculum, students visited to Bhira Hydro Power Station on 24 th January 2024. The purpose of this Industrial visit was to provide an exceptional prospect for all the students to interact and know more about Hydro Power generating station environment. Online Workshop on Design of DC-DC Converter and VSI

The Electrical Engineering Department had organized a one day online workshop on “Design of DC-DC Converter and VSI” for final year students on 13 th September, 2023. The speakers of the workshop were Dr. Jayant. J. Mane and Mr. Nikhil. N. Kasar associated with Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Rasayani. It was a very interactive session in which our students learned the steps of designing boost converter and half-bridge voltage source inverter along with use of its hardware components.

Online Workshop on Design and Simulation of BLDC/PMSM motor used inElectric Vehicle Application

The Electrical Engineering Department arranged a one-day workshop on the topic “Design and Simulation of BLDC/PMSM motor used in Electric Vehicle Application” for the subject Electrical Machine Design for the final year of Electrical Engineering Students on 31st Aug 2023. The subject includes designing of 3 phase transformer, 3 phase induction Motor, Synchronous machines, EV grade Induction motor and computer aided design. This Workshop guide our students regarding the practical approach for designing and simulation of BLDC/PMSM motor used in electric vehicle applications.

Session on How to plan for Start-up and legal & Ethical steps

The Electrical Engineering Department in association with IIC organized Session on “How to plan for Start-up and legal & Ethical steps” on 28th July 2023. This Session was intended to train participants about the startups and legal and ethical steps for framework to produce quality results as the new entrepreneurs. The key focal point of the webinar was to identify the tools and techniques used by entrepreneurs to uplift business.

Summary : The Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) built a 1,500 MW HVDC link between the cities of Chandrapur and Padghe (near Mumbai) – the first HVDC transmission link to Mumbai. The converter terminals were constructed by ABB (Sweden and India) and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) of India. The 500 kV Chandrapur – Padghe HVDC Bipole feeds Mumbai on the west coast with 1,500 MW from a thermal power generation plant located near Chandrapur in the eastern part of Maharashtra State 752 km away. The link helps to stabilize the Maharashtra grid, increasing power flow on the existing 400 kV AC lines while minimizing total line losses. Workshop on AutoCAD-Electrical

EESA-ACPCE has organized a workshop on AutoCAD- Electrical by Mr. Pratik Patil from MIT. The AutoCAD-Electrical Workshop helped students gain knowledge about AutoCAD applications in the field of Electrical Engineering. They learnt about various types of tools and commands in AutoCAD. Under the guidance of experts, students could execute simple projects using AutoCAD software like- drafting of electrical components, drawing of SLD, and gain knowledge about the different display & unit settings in the software during the Hands-on practice session. All the participants were delighted by an interactive technical session conducted by an expert speaker from MIT.

Seminar on Industrial Automation

EESA-ACPCE has organized a Seminar on Industrial Automation by Mr. Raj Singh from Precon Automation & Systems Pvt. Ltd. The session on Industrial Automation helped students to gain knowledge related to the Automation Industry and several Career opportunities related to it. They learnt about different types of Components of control Panels and various automation tools used in Electrical Applications. The Seminar went well as planned. All the participants were delighted by an interactive technical session conducted by the expert speaker from “Precon Automation & System Pvt Ltd.”

Workshop on Arduinol

The Electrical Engineering Department had organized a one day hands-on-workshop on “Arduino” for third year students on 25 th January, 2023. The speaker of the workshop was Mr. Shubham Thakur associated with PCB Unit, Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology, Rasayani. It started with expert seminar covering the basics of Arduino and its applications followed by actual hands-on-session. It was a very interactive session in which our students gained practical knowledge regarding writing the program codes in Arduino IDE 1.8.19 software, loading the code in Arduino and interfacing it in different applications.

Session on How to plan for Start-up and Cables and Wires

EESA has organised a workshop on Cables and Wires in collaboration with Polycab India Ltd. on 21 December 2022. Mr. Debajyoti Mukherji (Vice President, Technical) and Jatin Panchal (Product Manager, Cable) from Polycab India Ltd delivered the expert talk on design aspects, selection and special types of cables with their demonstration. Total 100 participants (Students and faculties) took the benefit of the same.

Workshop on Design of power electronic converter

The Electrical Engineering Department had organized a one day technical expert seminar on “ Design of power electronic converter” for third year and final year students on 4th October, 2022. The speakers of the seminar were Dr. Sushil Thale. Sir, explained us about the design of power electronic converters its component selection and rating aspects. Our students got actual idea regarding the selection of components.

Engineer’s Day Celebration​

The Electrical Engineering Department had organized seminar on the topic “Introduction to fundamentals of Induction motors design and placement guidance session on expectation of core /manufacturing industry from students and prerequisite for getting into a core industry”this seminar was conduted by Sandeep Sawant , Dy General Manager – Human Resource,Bharat Bijlee Limited, with team.they introduced fundamental of Induction motors design and career guidance to students.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan

Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan is a campaign which was launched on October 2, 2014 and aims to eradicate open defecation by 2019. It is a campaign by Government of India to keep the streets, roads and infrastructure of country’s 4041 statuatory cities and towns and it’s rural areas clean. The EESA committee had organized a cleanliness drive at certain places in Kharghar such as Belpada, Sector-12, Sector 13 on 6th September. Students cleaned the roads, streets by picking up all garbage and debris lying at open spaces, thus made people aware of importance of cleanliness in one’s neighborhood.

Independence Day is annually celebrated on 15th August as a national holiday in India to commemorate our nation’s independence from rule of United Kingdom. On 15th August 1947, our Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru raised the Indian national Flag above Lahori gate of Red Fort in Delhi. The EESA committee had organized the event “Aazadi-71” on August 23, 2017 to commemorate 71st independence of our nation. Students paid tribute to all the freedom fighters, reformers and revolutionaries who had contributed to independence of our nation. Students staged a play, showed music and dance performances on patriotic songs depicting the struggle movement for freedom of our country.

Farewell

The Third year students of EESA committee gave a farewell party to the final year students on 12th April 2017. Our Head of Department, Dr. S. R. Deore motivated the students by giving some guidelines to move ahead in life and gave good wishes for their bright future. Students shared some memorable instances while spending these four years in the institute. There were some game arranged for students and prizes were given for the same. The party ended with a DJ, where students danced in groups in open space with full spirit and cheers.

Seminar on Energy Audit

The EESA committee had organised a seminar on “Energy Audit” on 2nd March 2017. The speaker of the event was Mr. K. P. Surendranth, Deputy General Manager, ONGC, Mumbai. He delivered a speech on need, types and methods of Energy Audit carried out in an industry. He made the students visualize by showing some videos on sample audits which were carried out in ONGC industry.

Orphanage Visit at Kharghar

The EESA committee along with some teachers, visited an orphanage center at Sector 12, Kharghar on January 21, 2017. The teachers interacted gently with orphan children and encouraged them for standing alone in their lives. Students played some mini-games with these children and children danced with cheers, thus giving some enjoyable moments in their lives. The committee donated clothes, groceries and some basic amenities to the orphanage center.

Debate Competition

Navaratri Festival

The EESA committee had organised Navaratri festival on 4th October 2016. Students presented Garba dance performances in groups on the navaratri songs in the open space of our institute.

Teacher’s Day and Engineer’s Day

The EESA committee had organised Teacher’s day and Engineer’s Day on September 23, 2016 . Students appreciated the efforts of our Head of Department and all teachers by handing over a rose flower and taking blessings from them. Students staged play , music and dance performances depicting the role of teachers in educating students for a good future. Students had organized games for teachers, thus giving enjoyable moments apart from their busy schedule. There was a quiz competition arranged for all students where some basic questions were asked related to electrical engineering, thus illustrating its importance in various applications.

Aazadi- 70

The EESA committee had organized the event “Aazadi-70” to commemorate 70th independence of our nation on 23th August 2016. Students paid tribute to all the freedom fighters, reformers and revolutionaries who had contributed to independence of our nation. Students staged a skit, presented music and dance performances on patriotic songs depicting the struggle movement for freedom of our country. The event ended with singing of our National Anthem by the entire crowd.
